Painting Tutor Sue Bradley

Sue eaches weekly classes and provides workshops and demonstrations to art clubs and societies together with tutoring painting holidays in Spain, France, Greece and the U.K. She specialises in teaching beginners and also tutors more advanced classes and workshops.
Her favourite medium is watercolour due to its unique qualities, transparency and immediacy. She finds it the perfect medium for capturing mood and atmosphere and so convenient for transporting and working outdoors. Sue has travelled widely in Europe, South America, the U.S.A., Japan and New Zealand and enjoyed sketching on cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, the Fijian Islands and the Galapagos.
Sue’s favourite subjects include travel sketching, landscape, flowers, animals and dancers. Sue is known for her soft yet often vibrant watercolour work which often includes looseness and movement, especially in her flamenco dancer paintings. She is a fully qualified teacher.
Sue has exhibited widely including the Artist and Leisure Painter magazine annual Open Exhibition at Patchings Art Centre, Nottingham, the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London and FabrianoinAcquarello, Italy. She was awarded a Rising Star Future Master Award at the U.K. International Watercolour Masters Competition, 2020 and a Top 200 in 2022, 2024 and in 2026 received a special Judges’ Award. Over the last five years, Sue has exhibited with the England and Wales Team at the International AcquarelloinFabriano watercolour festival, Italy. She writes tutorial articles for the Leisure Painter Magazine and is a member of both the Association of Animal Artists and Women in Watercolor.
